Picking season is in full swing, so drop by Linvilla Orchards for their annual Sweet Corn & Blackberry Festival on Saturday, July 24 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (rain date is Sunday, July 25).

Don’t forget to dress up in your best buccaneer or fair maiden costumes, there’s a pirate theme at Linvilla on this day. There will be a scavenger treasure hunt and storytellers recounting tales about the stormy seas.

Makin’ Music will be on hand for entertainment and, of course, there’s the playground, pony rides, and face painting, too.

Stop by the Linvilla Grill for lunch and save room for corn and blackberry treats at the Farm Market. With chowder, muffins, and sweets, there’s something for palate. Then make your way to the orchard for sky high stalks and bushes brimming with berries; you’ll find everything you need for simple summer meals. Tons of tasty treats and loads of fun?
