Cradles to Crayons (C2C) is a local organization committed to helping children from birth to age 12 who are homeless or in a low-income family. Recently, Cradles to Crayons has served its 200,000th child! This is a huge milestone for the organization, which is only eight years old in Philadelphia. C2C puts together packs of clothes, shoes, books, toys and school supplies that will help the child throughout the year and then distribute them to local children in need. In the past year alone, C2C has helped over 87,000 children in the Boston and Philadelphia regions.  All items are donated to C2C by members of the community, and the only requirement is that they be in good condition.

Saturday, June 14th, Cradles to Crayons, along with Brave Hearts for Strong Minds, will be hosting a Pre-Fathers Day Walk to raise funds for children who have lost parents. The walk starts at 9 a.m. and is taking place at LaSalle College High School in Wyndmoor, PA. Participants are asked to bring donations which can range from items essential to infants or books and clothes for a pre-teen. If you are unable to contribute an item, monetary donations are always accepted.
