As a member of the Advisory Board of the James Beard Foundation, Tina Breslow has a long-standing commitment to the James Beard Foundation. To raise awareness of the Foundation’s mission, as well as to bring attention to the local culinary scene, the agency brought together local chefs and James Beard Award winners to tell a story about Philadelphia’s culinary heritage.

We created a program to celebrate Philadelphia’s restaurant renaissance. Five restaurant pioneers were featured guests, including Susanna Foo, Jean-Marie Lacroix, Georges Perrier, Steve Poses, and Judy Wicks, all legends who set the stage for what’s happening today. Each identified a protégé to represent them by creating one dish at the five-course VIP dinner ($500 a ticket). VIP chefs included Anne Coll, Matt Ridgeway, Pierre Calmels, Michael Solomonov, and Carla Hall, of ABC’s The Chew. Simultaneously, there was a dine around featuring 17 local rising star chefs. The lineup included Chris Kearse, Joncarl Lachman, Joe Cicala, and Josh Lawler, to name a few. The following day, Rich Landau of Vedge joined Carla Hall at Sur La Table for cooking demos and book signings. The exciting events raised awareness for the James Beard Foundation, funds for culinary scholarships, and comradery among the local chef community.
