It’s that time again in Atlantic City! The popular seven-day celebration of the city’s culinary scene, Restaurant Week, runs from Sunday, February 27 to Saturday, March 5. Phillips Seafood Restaurant is serving the freshest, finest seafood available on their classic American menu.

Phillips Chef Paul Drew is pulling out all the stops. For $33.11, you get to choose an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Entrée choices include Phillips famous crab cakes, citrus barramundi marinated in white wine with herbs and citric over rice pilaf and grilled asparagus, grilled steak and Peruvian shrimp skewers with buttermilk mashed potatoes and broccolini, or a broiled seafood platter. For dessert, there’s a New York cheesecake with whipped cream and fresh berries or a warm chocolate lava cake topped with vanilla ice cream.

Lunch is only $15.11. Guests can select the Phillips Famous Crab Cake sandwich, the fish & chips or the grilled mahi mahi with Thai curry sauce and finish with either the chocolate cake or the cheesecake.

The Art of Cooking with Seafood: COOK, CRACK & EAT

Don’t miss out on Cook, Crack & Eat, a Cooking Class Series by Chef Todd Weisz of Phillips Seafood Restaurant, which is taking place Saturday, March 19. Baltimore’s Phillips Seafood Restaurant is bringing back Cook, Crack & Eat, a series of seafood cooking classes designed to help you learn the tricks of the trade.

Chef Weisz will demonstrate his culinary finesse by cooking crab claw meat and jumbo lump crab meat. A guaranteed afternoon of learning, laughing and lingering over a demonstration, some wine and a great meal with the chef.

The cost for one class is $50 and it includes the chef demo, wine, lunch, and a swag bag to go. All three classes are $125. Philadelphia is for Lovers on February 14th

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and restaurants all over Philadelphia are pulling out all stops to make sure you and your love have a romantic and delicious evening. We conducted a quick survey of our clients to find out what’s on the menu on the sweet, sweet day. Here’s what we found.

Blackfish Restaurant. Chip Roman’s Conshohocken based seafood inspired restaurant is offering a five course pre-fixe menu for $85 per person, but if you want to book an early reservation, you can take advantage of a special price. Between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. the menu is available for just $55 per person.  Having just been named number one restaurant on Philly Mag’s list of 50 Best Places to Eat, you’re sure to seduce the one you love by scoring a reservation at this hot spot. Kokopelli Restaurant & Tequila Bar. Philadelphia’s new Southwestern small plates hot spot is offering a three-course aphrodisiac menu with a complementary glass of champagne throughout Valentine’s Day weekend. You can choose from dishes like diver scallops, lobster pot pie, and Black Angus strip steak. The menu is available from Friday, February 11th to Sunday, February 13th along with the regular a la carte menu. The Valentine’s Day feast is the only menu available February 14th. Restaurant Alba. This authentic Italian eatery is offering four courses for $65. And there’s nothing more sensual than sharing the antipasto for two. Lotus Farm to Table. Looking for a healthy option that’s sure to turn your honey on?  Great food. Live music. And it’s a BYOB. This affordable alternative is one of our favorites. This jewel box of a restaurant is only 32 seats and features a menu filled with dishes that taste good and are good for you. The four-course menu offered on Valentine’s Day features locally grown organic dishes that are cooked with little to no oil or butter.

Orchid Show and Sale

Stop by Linvilla Orchards now through March 16 for their Orchid Show and Sale. The show takes place in Linvilla’s new Garden Center which is open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.

Many of the orchids will be provided by Lois Duffin Orchids, Philadelphia’s premier orchid grower.
