The 2011 Expert Fishing Derby Winners

Is fishing your forte? Prove your talent and expertise lakeside on Saturday, March 24th at Linvilla Orchards Annual Expert Fishing Derby. For only $24.99 per fisherman, enter the fight to catch the biggest fish. The derby begins at 9 a.m., but be sure to arrive early to get the best spot. Transportation to the pond from Linvilla’s Farm Market begins at 8 a.m.

The lake will be loaded with the largest trout, so bring your rods and reel to a day of friendly competition, but keep in mind whoever hooks the biggest fish swims home with a $250 cash prize! But that not all. Linvilla makes it easy for everyone to be a winner. Catch a tagged fish for a chance to win trophies, fishing gear, or one of Linvilla’s famous pies. You get to keep one fish; each additional fish is $4.99 per pound.

Have a lucky rod? Bring it! If you don’t, rentals are available along with bait that can be purchased on site. Coffee, breakfast sandwiches and lunch will be available from the onsite Linvilla Grill.
