It’s nearly April – so it feels safe to say Spring is finally here! All of the crew here at Breslow Partners couldn’t be happier the cold is finally leaving. We’ve compiled a list of to-dos and to-sees this week in Philly. Check them out below.

Monday, March 30

• This one is for the carnivores. World Cafe Live & Shangy’s (The Beer Authority) will be serving an 8-course tasting menu devoted to the cow called “Here’s the Beef”. Every dish will feature beef: braised, slow cooked, spiced, etc, with lots of beer and bourbon. Dinner starts at 7 p.m. $50 for tickets.
• Monday is known as Industry Night to all of us in the restaurant scene. Just this month, Charlie was a sinner. added their Industry Night specials starting every Sunday and Monday at 9 p.m. Get 20% discounts on all food and drink items from the regular menu and $3 draft beers, $1 off all bottled beers and $6 well shots.

Tuesday, March 31

• Time to brush up on your American history! Today is the last day to take part in the winter sale at the National Constitution Center. Sale prices are $10 for adults and $5 for kids, includes access to all of the main and special exhibits. See one of the original copies of the Bill of Rights and the first editions of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Click here for more information.
• Welcome HOME, Jeff Bradshaw. Jeff Bradshaw will be performing tonight at The TLA in conjunction with the release of his new album, HOME. Tickets can be purchased online for $25 and the show starts at 8 p.m.

Wednesday, April 1

• Tria Fitler Square is finally opening. What we’re most excited to see from Philly’s much loved Wine, Beer and Cheese Bar is their new menu. Executive Chef Karen Nicolas, Food & Wine magazine’s Best New Chef of 2012, will showcase her cuisine, Tria-style. These dinner-friendly options and café faves are now available from Tria’s first full kitchen at the new 23rd & Pine spot.
• Eat at Joe’s…steaks. We can’t wait to see this restaurant open today in Fishtown. Fitting in with the hip, new neighborhood, Joe’s Steak + Soda Shop will offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, in addition to their classic menu. Don’t forget to get their addictive fries — made fresh, never frozen.
• Put some spring in your step at Macy’s Art in Bloom After Party. As part of the Macy’s Flower Show, Celebrity Wardrobe Stylist Lindsay Albanese and 96.5 Radio DJ Bex will offer fashion tips alongside mini-makeovers, live music and snacks. The After Party starts at 5 p.m. at Macy’s Center City location.

Thursday, April 2

• This is momentous. The first ever City Council Candidate Convention will be taking place tonight from 6 – 8 p.m hosted at WHYY. The event is headed by Young Involved Philadelphia and the Committee of Seventy and open to the public and the nonpartisan. The Convention is free with pre-registration. Food and beverages will be provided.

Friday, April 3

• It’s time to get in touch with your inner nerd. The Great Philadelphia Comic Con has landed today until Sunday and it’s not too late to buy tickets or kick-ass costumes. Check out panels featuring guests from cult classics like Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the ever-popular Star Trek. Live long and prosper. General admission tickets from $18 – 35
• Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? If you’ve never seen a poetry slam, you won’t want to miss this. The Pigeon presents The Philadelphia Poetry Slam featuring Jared Singer, a 5-time champion at NYC Grand Slam. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. $10 tickets at the door.

Saturday, April 4

• Escape the city with the kids and head to Linvilla Orchards for Hayrides to Bunnyland today and tomorrow from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Take a delightful journey through the orchards to meet Linvilla’s Easter Bunny. Then hop over to the Farm Market for a sweet, homemade treat. Hayrides are $8 per person.

Sunday, April 5

• SkyBrunch, SkyWhat? If you haven’t yet heard of SkyBrunch, now is the time to check out this new brunch spot before the word gets out. Enjoy your Easter Sunday morning with a panoramic view of the City of Brotherly Love. $50 for adults, $25 for kids 12 and under, free for kids 5 and under.
• Check out how Southerners’ do Brunch this Easter Sunday at The Twisted Tail. In addition to their weekly brunch favorites, The Twisted Tail will be featuring additional specials for this Sunday between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• It’s your last chance to see the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s exhibit, Represent: 200 Years of African American Art. More than 75 pieces are being featured including Henry Ossawa Tanner’s The Annunciation covering over 200 years of unmissable art history.
• It’s gonna be a bloody Sunday. Today marks the 10-year anniversary of the Philly Zombie Crawl and the Zombie Crawl Parade starts at 5 p.m. for participants. Zombies take their first steps at 5:30 p.m. and will slowly drag down to South Street. Prizes will be awarded to the best zombie pack of 4 or more nightwalkers.
