Sprinklers in the City

Summer is officially in full swing and it is a hot one. Philadelphia temperatures have been reaching the 90s and it has been making us wish we were on a tropical island splashing around in the waves. Although that is not possible, we have fun (and free!) solutions to beat the heat in the city: sprinkler parks.

Sprinkler parks are public spaces across Philadelphia that have in-ground sprinklers, fountains and splash pads to jump around in for those too hot to handle days. Perfect for the whole family to cool down, splash around all while maintaining a social distance from others. Check out three of our favorite spots below!

Dilworth Plaza – Location: 1 S 15th St, Philadelphia, PA 19102

On the West side of City Hall, Dilworth Plaza features open space, seating and fountain areas to splash in. The fountains have been set on the lowest water setting to allow children to play safety!

Seger Park – Location: 1020 Lombard St, Philadelphia, PA 19147

Located between South Street and Independence National Historical Park, Seger Park offers sprinklers in addition to separate spaces for toddlers and a dog park. It is the perfect spot for the whole family!

Roberto Clemente Park – Location: 1800 Wallace St, Philadelphia, PA 19130

Roberto Clemente Park, located in Spring Garden, is the perfect hang out spot for kids. Equipped with a full spray ground, the park also offers basketball courts and plenty of green space to relax.
