Celebrate Black History Month Across Philadelphia with Visit Philadelphia

February marks Black History Month and throughout the month and beyond, there are countless ways to celebrate and support Black history and culture across the Greater Philadelphia area.

Visit Philadelphia, the city’s tourism website, has compiled a series of guides highlighting Philadelphia area Black-owned independent businesses and restaurants, which are disproportionately at risk of closure during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as exhibitions and events that elevate stories of the Black experience.

Whether ordering food from Black-owned delivery startups Bloc Delivery or Black and Mobile, taking in Mural Arts’ one hour Black History Virtual Mural Tour, or taking in Longwood Gardens’ Voices in the Landscape audio tour, there are countless ways to safely celebrate Black History Month.

Events are occuring virtually and in person throughout the month of February and beyond. For more information, visit Visit Philadelphia’s website.
