Night Kitchen’s chocolate yule log, a perfect dessert for the holidays!

One of the most popular holiday desserts on the menu this season at the award-winning Night Kitchen Bakery in Chestnut Hill, is the holiday Yule Log. It is guaranteed to WOW holiday dinner guests, and it’s the perfect ending to a great meal.  Home made whipped cream is placed on a layer of chocolate sponge cake and then rolled and iced with chocolate. It’s then decorated with fresh holly, gingerbread men and candy canes.

The nine inch Yule Log sells for $48 and serves 10 to 12 people, and the 18 inch Yule Log sells for $68 and serves 16 to 18 people.

The Yule Log is available for purchase throughout December.  But please keep in mind that Night Kitchen Bakery requires orders be placed 48 hours in advance, however, Sunday, December 19th is the cutoff for Xmas orders. Two-Day Workshop for Professional Chefs

Well, we have a program for you. It’s a Cookbook Boot Camp. This intensive two-day workshop is being led by acclaimed Southern food writers/siblings Matt and Ted Lee. And since this is the inaugural workshop, the price is right. If you can get in to the January class, you might be able to enjoy the low introductory rate of $750.

Tavro 13 now serving lunch

Caroling Hayrides at Linvilla Orchards

Christmas is a time to celebrate traditions, both old and new.
