As fall is in full swing, pumpkin reigns king over the kitchen at Catelli Duo. Chef Roberta Adamo shared her one-of-a-kind pumpkin treats with Mike Jerrick and Alex Holley from FOX 29 Good Day Philadelphia on Thursday, October 23.

Chef Roberta first presented a creamy Pumpkin Lobster Bisque with a Seafood and Pumpkin Caramelle. Chef Roberta, known for her pasta specials, also made a Pumpkin Ravioli dish with a dolce sauce, crushed amoretti and dried cranberries as shown. As a main course, Chef Roberta created a Roasted Pumpkin Risotto with seared spice duck breast in a shitake and amarena demi-glace. To wash down these delicious dishes, Chef Roberta shook up a Pumpkin Pie Martini and brought along her homemade Pumpkin-cello. Artisan bread baking class at Quarry Hill Farm

QuarryHillMasthead11

Monday, October 13th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
——————————————————————-
You don’t have to be an artisan baker to make a good loaf of handcrafted bread. You just need some great flour, a few inexpensive baking utensils, and a little instruction and you will be on your way to baking artisan loaves of healthy bread.

Sloane Six and Ellen Fiorito of Quarry Hill Farm will host an artisan bread baking class on Monday, October 13th. We will make a basic dough for white bread. From this basic recipe we will expand to many other breads, e.g. whole wheat, focaccia, and pizza dough. We will talk about dough with high hydration (wet dough) and about preferments like poolish and biga. We will bake some bread for you to take home and serve you lunch. We can also make a small batch of home made pasta from scratch, if that is of interest to the group.

The class size is limited to maximize interaction. Grab a friend or two and reserve your spot, today. Cost is $75 per person, which includes lunch and a bag of our heritage wheat flour. This is a hands-on class so dress appropriately.

For reservations, please call 215.513.1514.

Quarry Hill Farm is located at 620 Quarry Road, Harleysville, PA 19438. Click here for directions.
