Whether you have always been fascinated by the French revolution or whether you’ve always liked to dress up as a French peasant or aristocrat, then the Bastille Day festival in Philadelphia is tailored made for you. On the menu of this 4 day festival: French wine, cheese, traditional French food, film screenings, costume contest, music and of course you will have the opportunity to enjoy the famous Tour of the Bastille.
The 17th annual Bastille Day festival will take place at the Eastern State Penitentiary between Thursday July 14th up to Sunday July 17th.
We really don’t want you to miss the Bastille Day Street Festival on Saturday, July 16th, 2-6 p.m. Marie Antoinette will be portrayed by Terry McNally, co-owner of Fairmount‘s London Grill. The French revolutionaries will be portrayed by re-enactors from the Old Fort Mifflin Historical Society.
