We Can Play “Chopped” Too

1012310_10200481196695656_366790650_n

Here at Breslow Partners, we like to think like the chefs on the Food Network’s hit show Chopped. After a busy week and forgetting to go grocery shopping, one of our associates decided take some of the random ingredients sitting patiently in the refrigerator to create a simple meal yet appetizing meal. Her growling stomach made her want to make a meal in 30 minutes or less.

Shuffling back and forth from the pantry to the refrigerator, she threw the random ingredients on the counter. Soy butter, spinach, mushrooms, half an onion, a cup of rotelle pasta, lemons, and garlic presented in front of her as the “A-ha” moment suddenly appeared. What did she create in under 30 minutes? Voila: rotelle pasta in a lemon-butter sauce with sautéed onions, mushrooms, and spinach with a pinch of thyme. Not bad for a college student on a budget! Do you like to play Chopped too?
